My Writing Week – March 25, 2011

This has been a varied writing week for me. I finally completed that technical article I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. That meant doing two telephone interviews to give it some zip – and they were fun to do. Since I already knew all the technical info, I was able to concentrate on getting their feelings about the product.

I wrote a press release for another client who said “You knocked this one out of the park!”

I also continued blogging for the Taking Off Travel Blog, where we’re now publishing more newsy posts. The more feature like posts will now be appearing as guest posts on other travel sites – watch this space for updates in the next couple of weeks.

Speaking of guest posting, I had my first try at posting via MyBlogGuest this week – and got instant take up of my first post, which will be appearing in the next week or so.

Finally, I did a couple of resumes and a few bits of other writing – a good week all round.

My Writing Week – March 11, 2011

It’s been a great week for writing.

This week I have written five posts for a ghost blogging client, covering web apps, parenting and more. I’ve also written some real estate community guides – it was fun to learn about new places and convey that to a new audience.

Last week, I landed a blogging gig at the Quips and Tips group of sites and my first posts are up. Here they are:

As well as that I’ve done a bunch of posts for Park Ride Fly USA, which is fun, because I enjoy writing about travel. Here are a couple I enjoyed writing:

I’ve started editing a technical article written a couple weeks ago, and have done some proofreading for a European magazine with international circulation.

To round out the week, I’ve written four resumes to help people find career success! What have you achieved this week?

Article Writing Testimonial

I’ve just finished a job ghostwriting articles related to the entertainment industry for a client of mine. She provided titles (including keywords), and I researched and wrote the articles. It was a new topic for me, but one I thoroughly enjoyed. Here’s what my client had to say about the articles:

The articles are fantastic! I like how you integrated the targeted keyword without stuffing them in every other sentence. It flowed very naturally and I enjoyed reading them. While I’m not that familiar with this niche you did bring out tips and suggestions for people to take action on which is great. Great writing.

Featured on EzineArticles

I’m a big fan of article marketing. It’s a promotional technique which has worked well both for me and my clients. That’s why I was so pleased to get an email from the EzineArticles team today, saying I’d been featured in their Expert Author Case Study series.  Their intro says: “Sharon Hurley Hall is an excellent example of a member who has taken our advice as a package, instead of piecemeal like most members, and parlayed that advice into making a living with the written word.”

Check out the case study for my views on article marketing - and of course, contact me if you need an article marketing package to promote your business.

New Gig At Suite101

  • Brizzly, a Twitter Web Application
  • Book Review – Dreaming in Hindi
  • Book Review – The Snail and the Whale
  • Life123 – Updated Article List

Late last year, I posted a list of my articles on Life123. The site has since reorganised its navigation, so I’m posting the list again with the right links. Here they are:

    Article Marketing Articles

Here are some of my most recent articles on EzineArticles. They are a good example of how article marketing can help you to promote a site. These can be informational articles, keyword based articles for SEO or a combination of the two.
