Here’s one of my latest pieces on Lake Anna, Virginia. It’s part travel piece, part real estate piece and it’s on the home page of a new site on this beautiful area.

I previously mentioned my blogging gig on Pureblogging. It’s a blog about blogging, and this month I’ve focused on the whys and wherefores of blogging and the lessons I’ve learned.

In a post on Writing White Papers I explain why writers need to take control of the client relationship to give clients the best service.

One of the topics that interests me is social media. I’m a member of several sites and am a reasonably regular Stumbler. Twitter has become one of my new obsessions

I think the English language is fascinating, which makes being a freelance writer even more fun. I love to play with words, coin new ones and find out what old ones mean. That’s why my gig at DailyWritingTips is perfect.

In my last post, I wrote about blogging on PiggyBankPie, however, there’s more to PBP than blogging on the site. Owner Patrick Bisaillon also promotes all the PBP writers as guest bloggers. I’ve done a few paid guest posts through my association with PBP. Here’s a list:

It’s no wonder I call myself a born again blogger. It’s great to be able to blog about my interests and expertise.

PiggyBankPie is another site where I guest blog from time to time. I blog about all aspects of blogging, including new promotional techniques and more philosophical questions about being part of the blogosphere.

I’ve been a confirmed blogger ever since I wrote my first post back in 2005. I’ve run several blogs of my own (almost too many to count), and I have ghost blogged for several people.

When you have an experience like the one I went through last weekend, you have a choice to make. Either you can continue in the same direction, or you can take the chance to create something new. Although I’ve already started restoring some of my posts, and plan to do a couple of posts to round up my work over the past year, once that’s done it’s time for a change.

I’ve decided that I want to make this blog a bit different from the way it was before. It may take a while for those changes to work through.  In the mean time, if you’ve come here looking for examples of my writing, please Google me – there are plenty to choose from.
